Bamboo Reinforced Cement Concrete (BRCC)

COST EFFECTIVENESS:
We do believe that application of appropriate Technology is the only factor to optimize the cost. Shelter is one of the major areas of Govt. activity where several crores of fund are used, every year. But due to the absence of proper technical support, available from the Govt. and sustainable affects are not created & drainage of public money takes place.

These buildings will last for 30 to 40 years with minimum care so there will be little to no cost for repairing these types of buildings.
We are happy to inform that if anybody is interested in implementing this type of shelter you may get the technology from us.

WHAT IS BRCC ?
BRCC means “BAMBOO REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE”.

  • Steel is replaced by chemically treated split bamboo.
  • Wooden doors & window shutters are replaced by bamboo mats.
  • Supported by wooden scantlings.
  • Baked mud bricks are replaced by precast panels and posts made of BRCC.
Ecological impact

The population load of the world is increasing at a rapid pace. It is at an alarming stage. For any type of cultivation we need land.

To protect ourselves from starvation we should use the top soil in a very scientific manner in the following way:

  • Top soil which can be used for cultivation should be reserved particularly for cultivation only.
  • No cultivation land should be changed to a brick field or brick kiln.
  • Alternative technology should be adopted for the construction of houses in a cost effective manner.
  • In areas where there are ample resources of building materials which can be collected from a river bed (Sand, Gravel, Boulders etc.) and cement concrete blocks both solid-&-hollow and flooring-&-roofing components may be manufactured to protect the ecology & top soil.
  • If the river bed materials are collected judiciously as per the norms of the land department the depth of the basin of the river will increase, by which we may get relief from flash-floods; saving our properties from the losses due to flash flooding.
  • Where possible fly ash may also be used for manufacturing bricks, tiles etc.
Before designing a building we should think about ecology.
If ecology is imbalanced then every thing related with civilization will also be imbalanced.
If ecology is in stage of balance we the people of mankind will also survive in a better way.
