The Terawet CorporationTerawet
was founded in 1992 doing research in the field of super absorbent polymers with the
intent of utilizing these polymers to better manage water in
agricultural systems. Four years of trial and research followed
eventually culminating in the development of the proprietary TeraGel®
crystal.
Then, in 1996, the company embarked on marketing its products
initially into the international marketplace. In the spring of 1999, the
company began its domestic marketing efforts starting with the
agricultural markets in the mid-west.
Due to the advent of the new liquid polymers recently
developed in 2000, the established plant growing market now was able to benefit
from these newly available products. Environmentally friendly products
are now available that aid significantly in the reduction of water
usage, increased root development and healthy and abundant plant growth.
These products directly benefit the landscaping, golf course, sports
fields, horticultural growers and tree orchard markets as well as the
homeowner.
Terawet was originally founded with the intent of
providing a means of reducing world hunger by increasing food production
in areas of the world where insufficient capabilities existed to produce
adequate food resources. Since availability of water is a key factor in
food production in those regions, the primary goal is to provide a
system of water management to allow for food growth in areas where water
resources are limited, especially in third world nations such as those
in South America, Africa, the Middle and Far East.
Terawet now offers a complete line of products meeting the needs of four
distinct market usage areas and the information necessary to move
forward with full scale marketing and production of our products.
